Maine's readers won't wait

The readers of Maine Home+Design Magazine, like the state itself, won’t wait in making meaningful change to reduce our impact on the planet.

That’s why the magazine, our 2021 official print media partner, is taking steps to inform, promote and publicize passive house projects, green design and engineers and sustainable living inside the home.

With each edition of the magazine, they look at new green projects, ideas for sustainable building and passive house technologies.

For example, take a look at their write-up on sustainable style as applied to this North Berwick residential build. Or this comprehensive piece about Viridescent House, a pioneering project in Falmouth to create “Maine’s first net-positive Passive House,” a feat undertaken with our passivhausMAINE partners, BRIBURN.

But maybe the most practical way they put sustainability first is through their Green Living Guide. The guide is a running list of articles written to help people make more conscious choices in designing, building and furnishing their homes.

Check it out today, along with the other free resources published on the magazine’s website. While you’re there, think about signing up for a subscription, which will help the magazine continue to produce content around sustainability and green living. The magazine is currently offering 65% off their newsstand price to US addressees.

Thanks Maine Home+Design for your focus on sustainability. Can’t wait to see you at this year’s forum.
